Kristen earned her BSN from the University of South Carolina and began her career as a Navy nurse. During her time in the Navy, she gained diverse experiences including a deployment to Iraq. After leaving the Navy, Kristen pursued a career as a Labor and Delivery Nurse. She later completed her MSN at East Carolina University and in 2012, obtained her Family Nurse Practitioner certification. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she witnessed the growing need for mental health providers as her patients faced long wait times for mental health care. Motivated by this, Kristen pursued further training at Frontier Nursing University and achieved certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Kristen is dedicated to addressing the physical, mental, and emotional needs of her
patients. She offers medication management and individual counseling for all ages, with
expertise in treating conditions such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD,
and more. Kristen is passionate about making a positive impact on the community and is
excited to bring her skills and compassion to Bel Air.
